I wasn't initially going to use a doula but a friend recommended Caroline and I am SO happy she did. Caroline completely changed my birth experience for the better. She came twice before the due date to get to know our family better and discuss my birth preferences. She was reliable, caring and informed. My water ended up breaking 3 1/2 weeks early and Caroline wasn't technically on call. However, that did not matter. She was in constant contact and arrived at the hospital right when labor really started to intensify. She was calming and helped me navigate an amazing and uncertain situation. She also ensured the hospital staff followed my birth wishes and was helping to communicate with the nurse and doctor. Moreover, she assisted me in the OR when I unexpectedly need a D&C. She held my hand the entire time! I cannot say more great things about Caroline. She was not only our doula but became our friend and confidant. I am so grateful to have met Caroline and feel blessed that she was able to help in the birth of our son, Emmett.

I could not have imagined giving birth to my daughter without Caroline. I am finding it difficult putting into words just how important she was to my husband and I both. We knew she was the doula for us the second we met because she was prepared, personable and kind. We connected immediately and I appreciated her honesty and her genuine interest in us and our pregnancy journey so far.
Once labor started she met us at the hospital. Due to a slow labor process we didn't check-in that night but, we did have a few hilarious hours in the nearby Whole Foods laboring in the wine department. We returned to the hospital the next morning and began an induction and she never left our sides. She spent the time helping with pain management, checking in on my husband and I both. Thanks to her we were able to get some sleep and more importantly she was an advocate for us as each decision came up knowing our birth plan backwards and forwards.
Caroline's attention to detail was very impressive. Our birth did not go as we hoped at all. However, thanks to her I found myself smiling, laughing and genuinely enjoying the process. When my epidural started to wear off, she was there putting pressure on my hips. She helped keep me comfortable and upbeat helping me adjust in bed. At one point she offered me my favorite snack and drink, which I don't even remember telling her! She also made sure that my husband and I had a few moments alone that allowed us to cement this special moment our minds forever. It felt like having a close friend helping us rather than a doula we met 4 months ago. Once the birth was over, she checked on us then quietly slipped out to let us spend time together as a new family. It would feel strange not stying in contact with her as I now consider her a friend. I continue to send her baby pictures and will absolutely be calling her for baby number 2!

Caroline was a fantastic addition to our birthing team for our first child. My husband and I were looking for a doula who could help us with pain coping strategies during labor and delivery, be a constant calm presence before, during and after the big day and be a voice for us in the hospital. Caroline was there for us in all regards. Prior to the birth Caroline met with us and helped us formalize our birth plan, had helpful insight for all of our worried questions, provided great resources for questions she could not answer, and created a calm atmosphere in preparation for the birth.
At the onset of labor and delivery Caroline was with us every step of the way. My labor required induction and Caroline joined us at the hospital as soon as contractions started. For the next 33 hours Caroline provided a calm and positive environment and a reassuring presence. During the 6 hours of contractions, Caroline used excellent emotional and physical support techniques that helped me and my husband stay calm and feel in control of our labor experience. After getting an epidural, Caroline helped me to stay active in the laboring process. Throughout labor Caroline ensured my husband was sufficiently fed, rested and caffeinated so he could fully support me. She helped us with hospital procedures we didn’t understand, and in turn ensured our needs and preferences were clearly understood by all the medical staff we interacted with. We felt well cared for and walked away from the birthing experience with nothing but joyous memories - Thank you Caroline!

Caroline was very supportive during our first birth. She was available during the middle of the night as we navigated the beginning of our labor and arrived at the hospital even before she needed to. Caroline was attentive to our questions and was non-judgmental as we discussed our goals and concerns around the birth process. The nurses seemed to really appreciate her presense and she remained supportive to both of us through a long labor.

My family and I were so lucky to find Caroline. She was a wonderful support to have during postpartum, always thoughtful and caring. What I loved the most was the gentle way in which she looked after my baby. She just had this special way of carrying and talking to him that my baby absolutely loved, and I just knew he was in - literally - the BEST hands. My older daughter also loved Caroline and used to ask about her all the time, she couldn't wait to chat and play and practice her dance moves with her. Caroline has this really special gift to make mums & bubs (and the entire family) feel understood and cared for.

My birthing experience with Caroline was awesome! She helped me cope with pain by being hands-on and applying pressure on my hips. She suggested a good list of coping methods, from using different tools and positions to adding an ambience ( music, candle...) to the room.
She was also very proactive and stepped-in in the communication with the medical staff. And she helped my husband during the whole experience. So both of them made a great team to support me. I really felt that I was in great hands. Caroline has a very positive, caring and comforting attitude which made us feel secured and taken care of. We are so happy she was with us!

When I first researched “doulas” I had no idea what to expect or what they did. I just knew that with my fiancé away for the first two months of my daughters life I’d need all the help and support I could get.
Caroline went above and beyond when providing the support we needed, emotionally and practically, by helping with mental clarity, debriefing, chores around the house and walking the dog. Nothing was too much to ask of Caroline during her visits and even outside of her time with us she'd always check in just to see how we were going.
She came with an abundance of knowledge and a drive to research and give information on anything you asked that she didn’t have the answer to right away. But I think the best and most important thing about Caroline was her uplifting and beautiful personality. She always left me feeling like I could conquer anything my little bundle of “joy” threw at me next and that I was doing an amazing job even when I couldn’t see it.
Caroline was a godsend for me and my little family and I'd highly recommend her to anyone searching not only for knowledgeable help and support but also a friend to lean on and listen to during any stage of pregnancy, birth and beyond.

Caroline was an angel and everything that I needed from a postpartum doula. She met me prior to my baby being born and it was so reassuring to know that she was going to be supporting me once my little one arrived - and what an arrival!
My baby made her grand entrance 8 weeks early and Caroline was there, visiting me in hospital and helping me through the month we had in the NICU before we could bring our little girl home. I will be forever grateful for having Caroline in my life at such a joyful but scary time. She was an essential part of my 'village' during this last year and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Caroline was an extraordinary source of support for me pre-baby. She was thoughtful, considerate and really thorough w everything. I felt really cared for.
She was there at my birth and I honestly don’t think I could have done it without her!! She was my rock (and for my husband too!) she was there literally every second - and it was a long labour! Strong, supportive, thoughtful, encouraging, positive and loving. She wasn’t squeamish at all and made me feel comfortable even when things were anything but!
Post-birth she was super supportive too! We didn’t end up having both postnatal sessions because we felt she went above and beyond... but she has had time with, my daughter, on several occasions now and she is so amazing with her. Just scoops her up in her arms, and is very aware of her needs and signals. Very gentle and sweet with her.
I hope that helps! I would basically recommend Caroline to anyone. She was always thoughtful in every way and always professional.
